Mino Rush

A game that tests your skills and quick thinking. Your goal is to rotate and place falling pieces to form complete rows on a grid. Each time you complete a row, it disappears, and you earn points. If the pieces stack up to the top, the game is over.

How to Play

Mino Rush is a game where you strategically place geometric shapes that fall from the top of a rectangular grid. These shapes can be rotated and moved to position them in the best possible spot. As the game progresses, the pieces fall faster, increasing the challenge.

The main objective is to complete horizontal rows of blocks without leaving any gaps. When a row is completed, it disappears, and you earn points. Clearing multiple rows at once will earn you even more points.

The game ends when the pieces stack up and reach the top of the grid. Your goal is to achieve the highest score possible.

Types of Pieces

In Mino Rush, you'll encounter 10 different types of pieces:

  • Tetrominoes: 7 pieces made up of four blocks (I4, O, T, L, J, S, Z).
  • Triminoes: 2 pieces made up of three blocks (I3, V).
  • Domino: 1 piece made up of two blocks (I2).

Features

  • HOLD Piece: Save a piece to use later. You can only hold once per new piece.
  • SWAP Piece: Swap your current piece for its variant (e.g., I4 for I3). You can only swap once per piece.
  • Next Piece: See the next piece that will appear on the grid to plan your move.
  • Soft Drop: Slowly lower the piece to better adjust your strategy.
  • Hard Drop: Instantly drop the piece to place it quickly and earn extra points.
  • Piece Shadow: A shadow shows where the piece will land, helping you decide the best position.
  • QUAD: Clear four rows at once to receive a special point bonus.
  • T-TWIST: Perform a special twist with the T piece in tight spaces to earn extra points.
  • COMBO: Clear rows in consecutive turns to earn additional points.
  • EPIC COMBO: Achieve two QUADs or T-TWISTs in a row to receive a super bonus.
  • LINES: Displays the number of rows cleared.
  • LEVEL: Every 10 rows cleared increases your level, speeding up the game and adding more challenge.
  • Statistics: View detailed metrics at the end of a game to improve your strategy.

Summary

  • Main Goal: Arrange the pieces to complete horizontal rows without gaps, which will disappear and earn you points.
  • Game Over: If the pieces stack up to the top of the grid, the game ends.
  • Levels: For every 10 rows cleared, you'll level up. The falling speed increases with each level.
  • Scoring: The more rows you clear at once, the more points you earn, multiplied by the current level. You can also earn extra points with special moves like T-TWISTS, COMBOS, and EPIC COMBOS.
